Parodoxically, it would seem - 'The Self' should develop the 'Ability' to "Self Censor" (Line 9). 

 

This is no small matter - for in "self censoring" - one can find the solutions to many of society's ills.  For example, "freedom of speech" - if the individual has the ability to "Self Censor" - 'Reasonably' - 'Rationally' - 'Logically' - then the issue of "free speech" - "freedom of speech" - within a society - may not necessarily - be such a "hot potato" - it is "self censorship" - by the Self - of the Self - through "critical thinking" - as a process of 'Introspection' - that develops this ability. 

 

Isn't it ironic - that often the most vocal proponents of free speech -are hypocritically - those who do not practice it - by which we mean - the provision of it to others.  A relevant casing point is Elon Musk's, X social media platform - although he claims to be a proponent of free speech - a so called "Free Speech Absolutist."  It is clear from the public criticism of his X social media platform, that large sections of the global community - do not agree with him - that he is such a proponent.

 

Again, if one looks at his X social media platform, there is the

controversy over his Grok AI - providing lewd, namely, images of women in various erotic, sexual positions, poses, environments.  This has drawn the criticism, rightly, of a large number of people. 

 

No doubt he would argue, as well as those who support him, that they are simply expressing "free speech."  It is not that easy Mr Musk.  There has to be, to some degree - "self censorship."

 

To be fair to Mr Musk, it is part of a wider problem - the inability to "self censor" - which expresses itself throughout social media platforms, his X social media platform, perhaps being the worst of a terrible bunch.
